Cats and sewing

Do any of you stitchers have cats?  Then you know what kind of problems I have.

1. Cats love thread.  They like to eat the snippets of thread on the floor.  Thereupon the throw it up or poop it out.  My sewing teacher has a cat that has been banned from her sewing room since the thread he eats only come out surgically.  That’s pricey to say the least.

2.  Cats love to sit on anything you do not want them to sit on.  Patterns, expensive fabric, laptops, the newspaper you are reading.  Tissue patterns are especially attractive to cats.  They make a lovely noise when stepped upon and can be easily manipulated when their human turns his back.  They stick to the tongue are make absolutely lovely toys.

3.  Cats have no sense of danger.  They simply must sit right by the machine and put their nose very,  very close to the needle going up and down at lightning speeds.  Shooing them away does no good.  They are back up by the machine in a trice.

What sort of things do your cats do?  I would love to hear from you.

lol! I know what you mean. I use to hate it when my cat(s) sat on the newspaper I was reading. But after a while, you realise they just want to be with you because they love you. So, I forgive them and love them back :) Cats are so full of love :)
